The Dishes Can Wait....Life Can't...

I'm sitting here, watching the Super Bowl and I saw this commercial with the tag line "The Dishes Can Wait, Life Can't"....ain't that the truth? Unfortunately not everyone in this fastpaced world even gets what that simple little phrase means. I love what it means and I take to heart what it means. We have so little time on this earth to spend precious moments with the ones that we love. Those "dishes" that we spent so much time cleaning during our lives will still be on this earth long after we have departed. Take a minute...slow down, go outside at sunset or even sunrise and watch the world as it delivers to us it's wonderful beauty. Sit outside, close your eyes and listen to all of the sounds...the longer you listen the more you will "truly" hear. See the beauty in everything....from the bright bloom of spring flowers to the homeless man in front of your local gas station. Most of all....show Gratitude every moment that you can....One thing that I LOVED about this past Holiday Season were the Starbucks Stories....it all starts with that one person who pays for the coffee for the person standing behind them....it's the domino of Good Will effect...and it touched my heart everytime I heard of another incident happening. So tonight, let the dishes sit in the sink....go sit with your family, take a walk, watch a sitcom, play a board game (or video game...i prefer guitar hero 3).
Enjoy the moments that are so easily lost...that we will never be able to get back.
